Jessica James

Jessica James is the solution for people who want an alternative fashion and interiors shopping experience to the high street.   We are a textile design company focused on fashion and accessories for the home. The Jessica James design approach is founded on a respect for the balance, shape and color of our environment, combined with an appreciation of global traditional designs and methods; from Moroccan weaving to Americana appliqué.  Using inspiration from many world cultures, we use a range of textile practices to apply our designs to a variety of different surfaces.

Nicola Griffiths is the artist and head designer for Jessica James. She set up her studio in 2003, making art and working freelance with a number of fashion and textiles based clients. In the same year she launched Jessica James ladies clothing collection and in 2005 had a diffusion line in Topshop Oxford Circus.

Elegant drawings and prints remain the signature motif of Nicola Griffths. Indeed, whether applied to fabric, paper, canvas, or clothing, her style is instantly identifiable. Her aim always remains the same, to aesthetically uplift and encourage people to be the very best they can through her work. 

Jessica James is founded on the premise to develop sustainable products that support the environment and developing communities.  We are continually working towards increasing the amount of sustainable and recycled fabrics that we use.   Our current collection includes bamboo t-shirts and soft furnishings made from the ends of commercial fabric orders.  These fabrics would be disposed of by bigger companies but we use them to create small limited runs of elegant fashion and interior design.
