Heritage Open Days

This is a (largely) free-of-charge event on your doorstep. For four days in September buildings around the country are open to the public. In Northampton, this provides an opportunity to take a peek at the treasures our heritage has to offer. Take a look inside the dungeons of the Guildhall, examine the architecture of the County Hall, or join a conducted tour of Delapre Abbey. You can take a boat along the river (not free-of-charge), or enjoy a guided walk through a local village. A Heritage Bus service provides transport to many of the outlying buildings and events.

The Fishmarket is one of the buildings featured in this years programme and a series of talks about the site will take place throughout the two days in the Fishmarket Cafe.
